Credit Union of the Berkshires was founded in 1939 to serve Pittsfield school employees. Our original asset size was $250 and had 23 members.

Today we are the second largest credit union in Pittsfield with more than 2000 members and assets exceeding $20 million. We have no desire to become a Wal-Mart sized credit union. However, our committment to you is to provide the best quality deposit and loan products that will meet all your financial needs and to establish a long-lasting relationship with you through our outstanding personal member service.

We are a community chartered credit union and are open to all people who live, work, or attend school in Berkshire County.
